Notice of Race
Stilbaai 2025 Long Distance Racing
Dates: 15/06/2025 to 15/06/2025 (One Day Event)
Venue: Stilbaai Yacht Club Vaal Dam
Organising Authority: Stilbaai Yacht Club.
1. RULES
The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules Of Sailing.
2. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be posted on the Whatsapp Group no later than Friday
13th June 2025.
3. COMMUNICATION
3.1 All boats may carry a VHF radio capable of communicating on channel 11
4. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
4.1 The regatta is open to all sailing boats.
4.2 Eligible boats may enter by registering online at

No Entry Fee
6. SCHEDULE
6.1 Registration: Online Registration Only before 18h000 on 13/06/23025.
6.2 Dates of racing: 15/06/2025.
6.3 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race will not be before 09h00
6.4 A maximum of 1 race/s are scheduled.
7. RISK STATEMENT
RRS 3 states: “The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone.” Competitors participate in this event entirely at their own risk. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
8. INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of R2 500 000 per incident or the equivalent
