NOTICE OF RACE
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules Of Sailing.
1.2 The SA Sailing Requirements: SA Class National Championships will apply.
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the DART 18 class
2.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the attached form and sending it to firstname.lastname@example.org by
12th October 2019, together with the entry fee of
Two Crew Boat - R650 Senior & R550 Youth
Single Crew boat - R500 Senior & R450
2.3 Late entries will be accepted under the following conditions: n/a
2.4 All competitors shall be members in good standing of SAS and of a yacht club affiliated to and in good standing with SAS (or their equivalent in the case of non-South Africans).
2.5 Proof of such membership shall be presented at registration.
3.1 Advertising is permitted in accordance with World Sailing Regulation 20.
3.2 Boats [shall] [may be required to] display advertising chosen and supplied by the organising authority in accordance with Regulation 20. [DP]
4.1 Registration: 12th October 2019, from 08H00 to 09H30
4.2 Equipment inspection and event measurement: 12th October 2019, from 08H00 to 09H30.
4.3 Dates of racing:12th October 2019 to 13th October 2019
4.4 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race is: 10h00 on 12th October 2019
4.5 A maximum of 10 races are scheduled.
4.6 On the last scheduled day of racing no warning signal will be made after 15H00.
Spot measurements may be taken at any stage during the regatta in order to ensure tat all boats comply with the class rules
6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be posted on the STILBAAI website no later than 08H00 on 12th October 2019 and will be available at registration.
7 SUPPORT BOATS
Support boats shall be marked with [a white flag].
Prizes, medals and trophies may be awarded at the discretion of the race committee
9 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of R nnnn000 per incident or the equivalent.
